Title:
Strange appearance of Mouse"Vectors"
Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: firefox
I have been enjoying the use of FireFox for quite some time now. This
is the first time I have experienced this problem. As I move the
mouse pointer around the window of FireFox a "Dot" appears with a line
(vector) extending from the point to where ever the mouse happens to
be. Sometimes the "vector" angles at some place and continues at a
new angle. Occasionally it will also "randomly" open a menu box as
well. While typing in this information box my mouse "I" bar would
change from a white "I" to an animated "I" changing from a black
outline to a pinkish outline and then becoming a white outlined
"Cross" with a black "Dot" behind it. If I move the cross a "vector
line" extends from it and a menu box opens. It seems to open the
"Ubuntu-it" menu from the top of my browser. Except that the menu
appears at the location of where ever my mouse happens to stop moving.
It also seems to occasionally interfere with my typing. Sometimes, if
I move the mouse, this text box will become highlighted as if I were
holding down the <left> mouse button. I have also tried a different
mouse. I looked for a "reload" or "update" option for FireFox but
did not find one. I am running Ubuntu 10.10 with Mozilla Firefox
version 3.6.13. I hope this can be easily fixed as I have been
delighted with this software. Thank you
