Hello Matt,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with the hplip
package. You made this bug report in 2008 and Ubuntu and hplip have been
updated since then.
Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to
this bug?
If you are, could you let us know and, in the current version, could you run
the following (only once):
apport-collect 226682
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.
Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu better.

Title:
No pause when double-sided (duplex) printing enabled
Status in hplip package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: foomatic-db-hpijs
When double-sided printing is turned on, either long edge or short
edge, the printer (in my case HP DeskJet 5150) prints the odd pages,
then immediately starts printing the even pages. The printer should
pause so that the user has time to put the odd pages back into the
tray so that the other side can be printed on.
This occurs regardles of the program in which double-sided printing is
enabled.
Ubuntu version: 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon
foomatic-db-hpijs version: 20070813-0ubuntu1
cupsys version: 1.3.2-1ubuntu7.6
