The extent to which the old content remains varies; it can be a few pixels-wide line, or the whole previous page. The behavior is irrespective of whether the paging command is activated via the keyboard or clicking on the scrollbar. The cursor keys, or dragging the scrollbar does not seem to trigger the problem; however, maybe it is just that it is more difficult to spot. The problem does not appear if Kwin compositioning is switched off. However, even with compositioning turned on, only Firefox 3.6 shows this kind of behavior; other applications, including Firefox 4.0 beta are unaffected.
