Immediately after upgrade to 18.04.01 from 16.04.01, the lock screen of
this laptop (an HP 6910p) became corrupt. When logged in and using the
system, video display is fine, but the lock screen is consistently
garbled as in the attached photo. Switching to Wayland made no
difference in this behavior.
