The bug is old and Ubuntu changed quite a lot since, there has also been
no activity here nor similar reports. Closing since we believe the issue
as described is deprecated but feel free to file a new report if you
still have problems in recent Ubuntu versions.

  Folder Sharing Options problem. "testparm" (No such file or dir)

Status in nautilus-share package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: nautilus

  When trying to share a folder on the network via Samba. It installed
  the service asked for share name, started aplying changes and suddenly
  prompted an error massage: "testparm" (No such file or dir). I was
  trying to share the default "public" folder at the my home folder.
