Thank you for your bug report. The issue you describe seems to be rather
with the fileselector widget and not the filemanager application,
reassigning to gtk.
Could you describe exact steps to trigger the issue? Trying those
- open firefox
- hit ctrl-S
- type
the filename is replaced, which means the focus is correctly on the text
entry ... what happens in your case?

Bug description:
Opening nautilus in order to save picture from e.g. browser does so
the name of the new file is highlighted but the focus is not on the
input field. I expect when the name is highlighted that it is also
focused.
