webdav thumbnail large file freeze

Bug description:
When viewing a webDAV mounted share in nautilus it will proceed to
download all the files in order to generate thumbnails, including
large files. This results in GB's of data being downloaded and freezes
nautilus. This even happens if under Preferences > Preview a tick is
placed at Local Files only and only files smaller than (<10MB).
From this I conclude that nautilus sees a remote webDAV share as local
(or just doesn't check) and that it doesn't check file size (or only
checks file size if it already has downloaded/cached the entire file).
This is in Nautilus 3.10.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
