WOW, I don't even remember reporting this bug! The link I
gave in the bug report doesn't work anymore, but if you
enter FODM121 in the search box and then click on the pdf
link that comes up, it STILL does the same thing, on evince
3.4.0
And, it may just be a badly formatted document, too. The
URL is :
https://www.onsemi.com/pub/Collateral/FODM2705-D.pdf

I am still running 12.04 on some systems, I have too many
tricky packages installed to update until it is REALLY
necessary.

Thanks,

Jon

Title:
incorrectly asks for password on .pdf file

Status in evince package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS, evince 3.4.0, just updated it with apt-get and still
shows the problem.
Here's a file that asks for password :
  https://www.fairchildsemi.com/datasheets/FO/FODM121.pdf

But, it seems a bunch of Fairchild semi files have the same problem.
Reads fine with acroread, asks for a password in evince.

  apt-cache shows :
  evince:
    Installed: 3.4.0-0ubuntu1.8
    Candidate: 3.4.0-0ubuntu1.8
    Version table:
   *** 3.4.0-0ubuntu1.8 0
          500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-updates/main amd64
Packages
          100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
       3.4.0-0ubuntu1 0
          500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main amd64 Packages

  Thanks,

  Jon
