Title:
gedit tango color scheme display ugly white grid pattern

Status in gedit package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  - launch gedit
  - in the three lines "burger" menu, select "Preferences"
  - in "View" tab, activate "Display grid pattern" option
  - in "Font & Colors" tab, select "/* Tango */"

From now on, a uggly white grid covers the surface of the editing area.
Shouldn't this dark theme display a dark grid as well ?
