Oops, sorry comment #1 should have referred to logging into a GNOME session (on Xorg). It shouldn't be seen when logging in to an Ubuntu session.

Therefore it would be appreciated to only show the appearance tab when using the ubuntu-session. If this is not possible please create a separate package gnome-control-center-ubuntu since I want to be able to use gnome-shell as intended by upstream without the ubuntu modifications being forced on me.
