Title:
  [VGN-FE880E, SigmaTel STAC9872AK, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all.
  However, headphones have a little sound when turned full volume.

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  No sound at all with internal speakers. A little sound with headphones when 
sound turned all the way up.
  This problem started with 12.04 which is why I decided to go to 13.04.
  Sound was fine with Ubuntu version 8. I may go back to this version.
