@Brian Neltner Assigning blame of course is not helping. However, let me mention that some of us in this bug report is running "Ubuntu certified" hardware (i.e. Dell XPS). If that is supposed to mean anything at all, at some point I'd expect at least a plan, as David Smoot was mentioning.
But again, not complaining... Nvidia is free to not fix this at all.
