Thanks for the bug report. It looks like something has consumed all your
RAM. Most likely that is (usually) a web browser or buggy gnome-shell
extensions.

Please try removing your extensions:

  cd /home/shivanya/.local/share/gnome-shell
  rm -rf extensions

and then log in again.

Also be careful to not have too many unused web browser tabs open.

Let us know if the problem happens again.

Title:
  The screen turned black for about 15-20 seconds  and then all the open
  applications got  killed and I was logged out.

Bug description:
  I was uploading an image to google slides but suddenly whole laptop
  freezed and I was even not able to switch the application. Then
  suddenly the screen turned black for about 15- 20 seconds. After all
  thhis suddenly the Log in page opened and I was automatically logged
  out of my account and all the open applications were killed. On
  logging in it showed me a pop up telling that the 'gnome-shell' closed
  unexpectedly and my computer didn't have enough free memory to
  automatically analyze the problem and send the report. I am including
  a screenshoot of the error.
