Many bugs after installation

Bug description:
I have many bugs with Ubuntu. I'm a new user. Installation was a success but
some applications don't work well. I can't turn off my computer, I have to
restart it manually and after I can do shutdown, sometimes it's working if
"sudo shutdown now".
Now I have an error message : "Error: brokencount>0".
Moreover I fixed a lot of little problems.
I was really excited to use ubuntu but now I feel disappointed.
