Public bug reported: NVIDIA has requested that we default to Xorg on NVIDIA-only systems. (I've been told by @jbicha that @kenvandine was advised so)
One possible reason cited was: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/-/issues/1317 but if anyone finds additional reasons then please add them here. But good news: This is only for NVIDIA desktops.
