I can confirm this on a recently updated (20.04 --> 22.04) AMD64 install of Ubuntu Mate.
XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /snap/firefox/1670/usr/lib/firefox/libmozgtk.so: libgtk-3.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Couldn't load XPCOM. The distro was updated and as part of the process the installed firefox replaced with the snap. It initially worked, but after about a day, including a couple of reboots, it now fails to start with the above error. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1986456 Title: Firefox fails to start after update Status in firefox package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: After system Updates today (14.08.2022) firefox did not start anymore.
