Gedit used to keep the file encoding on saving.
With the introduction of the new text editor all my application specific
files (which are required to be in iso8859-02) save with scrambled
characters which look read well as utf-8.
It looks like it's always saving in utf-8 irrespectfully whether auto or
manually saving as iso encoding... is selected in the save dialog.
