Title:
ISO8859-02 encoding not respected on saving

Status in gedit package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Gedit used to keep the file encoding on saving.

With the introduction of the new text editor all my application
specific files (which are required to be in iso8859-02) save with
scrambled characters which look read well as utf-8.

It looks like it's always saving in utf-8 irrespectfully whether auto
or manually saving as iso encoding... is selected in the save dialog.
