Title: Keyboard layouts suddenly disappear Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Bug #502569, reported as fixed in 2010, has made a come back in Noble Numbat. To be a bit more specific, as part of my initial configuration after a fresh install of Noble Numbat, I added a Portuguese keyboard layout and deleted the English one. A couple of hours later, the Portuguese layout disappeared and the English one was reinstated. I then tried to add the Portuguese layout without deleting the English layout, only to find that the Portuguese layout disappeared some time later. I have not been able to determine what action might cause this bug as it takes a few hours to manifest itself.
