The 4 packages from #22 were removed. Then a reboot.

The system was rebooted at 7:30 PM local time on 2025-10-21 (New York time
zone).
It bears repeating this is not when the display hung. It is when I tried to
access it and failed.

Title:
  Ubuntu 25.10 hangs on idle

Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
When the system idles long enough, the screensaver turns off the
  display.

If you wait long enough (1+ hours) after that turn off, the system may
hang when you move the mouse or hit the keyboard.

  This is reproducible.

My Dell Optiplex desktop 7010 and 7020 both have this problem.

My Dell Pro PC16255 laptop does not have this problem.

Curiously, the desktops are both Intel while the laptop is AMD.
