Title:
  gnome-settings-daemon crashed with SIGSEGV in
  g_main_context_dispatch()

Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I logged in, looked away from my screen for a bit, looked back, and
  the crash report tool told me that gnome-settings-daemon had crashed.

  In related news, often all of my media keys will stop working for a
  while, and if I run "top", it will show gnome-settings-daemon using
  99% of the cpu. After several minutes the cpu usage eventually decides
  to go down and all the media buttons I pressed suddenly take effect at
  once like they were queued up.
