Thanks Dylan, I add a compiz task to get input on how they view it. I
don't know currently what more I can do on the application side other
than to set a minimum size.

Title:
Search bar disappears when you "stick" the window to the side of the
screen
Status in “compiz” package in Ubuntu:
New
Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
To reproduce:
1. take your window, drag it to one side of the screen, or the other, so that
it "sticks"/"pins" to the side of your screen.
You will now notice that the search bar is missing, it is my thoughts
that this is happening because when you pin the window to the side of
the screen it makes it smaller than it is supposed to go. The best fix
might be to make it so the search bar can expand and shrink with the
window, perhaps.
