This is very interesting question.
In the company which I am working, we use Windows as the desktop
machine. Because, Windows is chosen in many cases as development
environment.
In Japan, there are many companies developing company systems
development, and our company is also one of them. It is the
so-called system integrator.
In many cases, System integrators choose Linux as the server
and Windows as the desktop. This is the reason that I send
the mail from Outlook.
Simultaneously, this is the reason that we develop Common Desktop
Infrastructure.
We want to choose Linux as development environment.
Therefore, we want Linux to be chosen from the system integrators
or ISVs as the desktop.
Would you sympathize with our thought?
