I think what would be an interesting discussion is how 3D can be used to
improve the user experience, not just in terms of improving the visual
apearance, but in terms of functionality that allows users to be make
more effective use of their computer. There are some good use cases
around accessibility but beyond that I have yet to see real end-user
benefits.
