What about simply no author tag at all? It doesn't bring IMO much value to know that Excalibur was written by the Excalibur team!
Well, considering it used to be "Avalon Development Team", and a lot of package have "avalon" in there somewhere...its one of those things that might make users a little less confused...
That totally makes sense, as Excalibur must build its own brand. But what about a link to http://excalibur.apache.org giving access to the docs rather than an email address (may also reduce spam for moderators).
