Werner Keil commented on MNGECLIPSE-39:
---------------------------------------

Do you really want to depend the Plug-in on the whole WTP project?
I have heard other similar issues, like Maven for Eclipse goals automatically
generating WTP files and structures in ANY Eclipse project.

I agree and know from my own (M1) experience, it is mostly used in Enterprise
Projects (using Java EE rather than SE)
However, should it not be possible, to run e.g. a "package" goal within a RCP
or Eclipse Plug-in project with Maven without installing WTP, for Client-only
development?

What about the existing Mevenide?
That one contains a finally well-working POM3 editor after V0.3 or so.
Have you anything to do with it, or intentions to merge the projects?

> Form-based POM editor for the elements that are non-plugin related. These
> will be fairly standard as the POM is not going to change that much over time.
