I don't agree with the patch for this issue, which just outputs an alt
attribute with empty text if it is not defined.
This fulfils the *letter* of the xhtml specification, but not its intention.
The purpose of the alt attribute is to make pages accessable to blind users, by
*requiring* each image to have a textual description. Generating an empty
string description by default does nothing whatsoever to make the page
accessable.
