Asitang Mishra commented on NUTCH-2011:
---------------------------------------
Hi [~wastl-nagel],
-For the persistent storage: Can we maintain an in-memory map between the round
number and the segment id. The map will hardly take any space and we won't need
to save anything new in the crawldb or segments.
-For the temporary in-memory storage: We can try to put a new feature in Nutch
where we can provide a number say 20 and make the "rounds" that long. So, a new
segment will be spit every 20 url. This will make the cycles shorter, and so,
the JVM will not go out of memory.

> This fix will create an endpoint to query the Nutch REST service and get a
> real-time JSON response of the current/past Fetched URLs.
> This endpoint also includes pagination of the output to reduce data transfer
> bw in large crawls.
