Hi Tyler - the response from fetching
http://lucene.apache.org/core/discussion.html contains a Content-Type of
"text/html; charset=utf-8". As Matthias notes above, it would be getter to
supply that hint (from java.net.URLConnection#getContentType) to Tika via
metadata.
