I'm sorry but I completely disagree on this point. Technical awesomeness is
typically a developer concern that just have to deal with a
single environnement. As a web developer I must develop cross browser
compatible WebApps, my clients will require it (actually they already did).
Because there is no interoperable debug protocol we (web developers) have
to investe in several different tools (many are not free). It increase the
time we spend debugging apps, a time that have to be payed and our clients
are not okay to paye it... this lead us to strategic choice such as
avoiding testing some platforms (dont' be surprise if I say it's the
Mozilla and Opera products that are dismissed).

An imperfect but interoperable protocole is a better solution for web
developers than an awesome platform specific protocol. It's actually the
whole story of the Web: An imperfect solution that work for everybody. If
the "web is the platform" the tools to develop on such a platform need to
be interoperable otherwise it is not the platform and B2G is just "another
platform" that use web technologies.

As for your concern about the limit of interoperability, I doubt people
from other companies want some seedy protocole, they also want awesome
tools. I can't imagine it's not possible to cooperate on such topic, the
web proves it otherwise.
