Hi, I'm the author of that guide. About kernel version: v.5 is the last one able to boot B2G, v.6 can't do it (I asked the author about it and he told me he's not interest in supporting it anymore).
About the problem with the hidden partition: that's weird! I've always flashed an image there without any problem, no matter which version of the kernel I have. Besides, the hidden partition is what Siyah uses to dual boot any OS, Android included, so it should work. The only thing I can think of, is that you don't have the right permissions to run heimdall at a level high enough so that it can actually do its work. If you're using linux, try to launch the command as root. About downgrading the kernel: v.5 is for ICS, so if you've installed JB you're out of luck. About versions: are you sure 6.0.1.2 is the kernel version and not the version of cwm? I think it's the latter. As a final notice: that guide is a little bit old. Things may have changed in the mean time that make dual booting B2G on a SGS2 not possible (but your problems are not related anyway). bye, Iacopo _______________________________________________ dev-b2g mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/dev-b2g
