So i recently received a ZTE Open only to find out that it seems i just wasted 80 euro on a device that is not supported anymore - neither from Mozilla nor from ZTE. praised as a developer phone on MDN i thought i could easily update it when new versions of FXOS come out, but that isn't true obviously. a developer phone that is stuck on FXOS 1.1....
Is anyone at Mozilla working with ZTE to resolve this or are we users expected to buy a new phone every 6 months just like it is with Android? and its obviously not only a ZTE problem - the Alcatel has not received anything except 1.1 either. i don't even expect ZTE to push out an update, but i would appreciate if i could at least build new releases on my own.
