I'm not sure which files you mean and what you'd like me to build
myself. That Alcatel has put that package up was known to me. I think I
built a kernel from their sources when I needed to root the device about
half a year ago.

In any case I have an update now. I restored an old backup and did again
a adb flash. Then the phone came up again. However, pretty much
everything is broken:

The first time it started up (language selection screen), immediately
something crashed and asked be if I wanted to send a crash report to
Mozilla. Then it asked me for the PIN, but the pin entry app apparently
also crashed (didn't show buttons with numbers, so I could only "skip").
Then I tried to go into my contacts. "Communcations has just crashed",
then shortly after "Phone has just crashed".

Then a few seconds after "Homescreen has just crashed", all icons
disappearing, reappearing, then crashing again (in an infinite loop
always crashing until I turned off the phone).

So is this expected behavior, is the v1.4 tree really that unstable? Is
v1.3 what I should go with?

Cheers,
Johannes
