Thanks for the reply. I see what you are saying, and we're trying to follow that. I'm just not sure WHICH logo to use.  The reply I got from [EMAIL PROTECTED]:

"I believe that the phrasing we like to use is "Based on Gecko" or
"Powered by Gecko". I don't think we have a logo program for this. Gecko
itself doesn't really have a logo, and the Mozilla and Firefox logos
aren't necessarily appropriate for an embedded context.

I would suggest asking [EMAIL PROTECTED]; they might have a better
answer."

So I'm not sure what to do. I guess I'll just use the mozilla.org logo, as I can't find anything else to work with.

hi there,

I just read up your post (sorry for the delayed anwser) ... the following quoted text probably answer your question (see in bold):

"Finally, licensing Gecko is royalty-free, even if the final application is an otherwise proprietary commercial product. Very generally, any modifications of the original Mozilla-supplied source code (but not the code in which it is embedded) must be returned to the community, that same original code must be made available to the application's users (often by a link to the mozilla.org website), and the application must indicate in some obvious way (for example, a logo on the box or on the About: page) that the product embeds Gecko. Exact descriptions of the possible licensing arrangements are presented at www.mozilla.org/MPL/, which is the only legally complete source for licensing information."

Hey all.  We're getting close to the launch of the embedding app I've
been working on (it was announced at CES) and want to make sure
mozilla.org is given credit (visibly) in addition to complying with
all aspects of the MPL.  I've emailed [EMAIL PROTECTED] and
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and have not received any information as to
what logo is acceptable/recommended to use in embedding applications
to credit mozilla.org.  Have any of you other embedders dealt with
this already, or have any suggestions?
