I am not fully understanding the scope of fxa-profile - according to https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox_Accounts#Firefox_Accounts_user_data it might even store phone numbers. So it sounded like a phonebook/directory of users to me. Which is exactly what Mozillians.org is (a subset of a wider users directory + some social feats) [..] > There’s currently not much data in the profile server, and only avatars are > “editable”. (e.g. I can get my own data and that's it) Cheers Tarek > -chris > > >> So on my side here's what I think for now: >> >> - a public key attached to an fxa profile is what I consider to be a >> "core" data that should belong there >> - imho, mozillians.org is a perfect place to experiment social features >> - it's the first circle of mozilla fans that can help us experiment with >> a social feature before it hits a wider audience >> - a public key service is the basis for any privacy-aware social feature >> like sharing files >> - fxa-attached keys can be stored anywhere, so having them in >> mozillians.org makes sense for now >> >> Cheers >> Tarek >> >> _______________________________________________ Dev-fxacct mailing list [email protected] https://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/dev-fxacct
