Hi All, Last week the FxA team shipped FxA train-98 to production. Our focus continues to be on ensuring quality and stability for the Firefox 57 release, so this release was a little bit of a grab-bag of miscellaneous fixes. Some highlights include:
- Our large functional test suite <https://github.com/mozilla/fxa-content-server/tree/master/tests/functional> has long been stuck running on an older version of Firefox, due to incompatibilities with recent changes to the Firefox automation driver. We finally dug in and resolve the outstanding issues, and these tests are now running regularly under Firefox 57. - Users on Firefox 57 or higher will now see the spiffy new Firefox logo <https://github.com/FirefoxUX/product-identity/blob/master/images/firefox/firefox/firefox-logo.png> in our login form and in the emails that we send, helping ensure a nice continuity of UX between the browser and web content. - Closing out a previous experiment, we've now removed the greyed-out "disabled" button state from our signup and signin forms. This change was shown to increase the number of users who set up sync as part of the first-run experience, so we're hoping it will help us onboard a larger portion of the new-user spike that's anticipated with the 57 release. Special thanks also go to community contributors xevrem <https://github.com/xevrem> and chompasina <https://github.com/chompasina>, who dove in to fix some styling issues and make the experience just that little bit slicker in time for the 57 release!
