I found this documentation: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox_OS/Phone_guide/Flame/Updating_your_Flame#Updating_your_Flame_to_a_nightly_build " Note: For the current build, Nightly development builds of Firefox OS do not support A-GPS, which may lead to slow performance of GPS functionality. We plan to resolve this in an updated future Nightly channel. "
I tried to get a GPS coordinate using the Geoloc and UI Tests (API) with the Flame device using latest nightly build: Build ID 20150918150204 Gaia Revision 3e9de022ede11800170b6665606cb00c3fd92dc5 Gaia Date 2015-09-18 13:33:30 Gecko Revision https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/e44ee5f2679134c2ff210f93e42c5a86865ade52 Gecko Version 43.0a1 Device Name flame Firmware(Release) 4.4.2 Firmware(Incremental) eng.cltbld.20150830.021652 Firmware Date Sun Aug 30 02:17:03 EDT 2015 Bootloader L1TC000118D0 I couldn't get a location at all. Is this not working at all anymore? Somebody else (Tim Maks) also couldn't get GPS to work, like for TomTom maps, for example.
