I'm no stranger to Rust, but has someone had Rust experience with

- timing-critical GPIO (microsecond-resolution)
- bit banging GPIO
- byte banging serial lines
- handling, manipulating, and un/serializing chunks of byte data

All are very common requirements in hardware hacking, and I'd like to
know how it feels in Rust. Pointers to code are very welcome.
