Exactly, at the moment you have to add manualy language ID to database
fields if you want to add more than 4 languages.
The automatic database tables fields update on adding new language already
is done and will be released in next major release.

At the moment, you have to adjust the database manually for using more than
four languages:
there are a lot of fields available four times, e.g. oxtitle, oxtitle_1,
oxtitle_2 and oxtitle_3. When adding ****_4 fields, u can use a fifth
language and so on.
The feature request that these fields are created automatically is already
recorded.

Is the total number of languages that I can have in OXID limited to 4?
Asking because I just added a fifth language and got the error:
Warning: No multilanguage DB fields were found for selected language!
