Hi,

Thanks for the very good idea. It would solve few requests related to products filtering. Though looking to future - such solution can affect general handling of products in eShop, what needs some larger support from all eShop functionality. So this definitely should be considered in future.

But, as we discussed internally, some particular option next to category assignment in Shipping Set would be more KISS solution ad easier to implement. So this request is also written to the features request list, with reference to your entry:

Thanks a lot.

Best regards,
Dainius Bigelis

Hi all,

just a complete other idea.

I call it virtual categories.
This means, that this categories don't exists (as a category).
This categories are just pre-defined article-lists.

Here is a feature request:
http://oxid.uservoice.com/forums/31940-feature-requests/suggestions/363632-product-filter-for-the-complete-shop?ref=title

I think if you can define 'virtual categories' with
this filter and combined with the different search values (searchstring,
vendor, manufacturer, category) you have a very flexible way to define
categories for shipping, payment etc.

What do you think?

Markus

Hi,

New option for that is a good idea.
But - having two options (one for entire shop and other for particular
categories) - I think would make big confusion.

If implementing one of two options - question is - which one:
1. Option for particular categories, would be more logical, more custom,
but can cause some performance loss.
2. General option for all categories - would give possibility to affect
also assignment of other objects, like Discounts, Coupons, etc. I mean - if
selected - assignment of all objects would be valid for subcategories.

Which one of these options you would prefer?

Best regards,
