Hi Vikram, Nice to hear you again :)
About the new theme and module installer - probably you misunderstood some aspect in our previous announcements (or we didn't tell that clearly) - 4.5.0 version is just a first step toward that, as an introduction into fully automatic theme and module installer. Currently we prepared some basement for it, but some work is still waiting to be done in upcoming eShop versions. But, of course, you can install your theme in eShop. It should have the same file structure as in Azure theme (the default theme in 4.5.0), so just place your files in separate dir next to other themes in eShop and then follow the tutorial you found: http://wiki.oxidforge.org/Tutorials/Understanding_theme_management_in_OXID_eShop_from_4.5.0 Btw, you don't need to override the 'oxviewconfig' anymore. It was included only in 4.5.0 beta versions and it's removed now (in 4.5.0). We will fix the tutorial according this change. As per available documentation on the OXID wiki, 4.5.0 will have a new "module/theme installer" which will provide an interface to install new themes. Can someone provide more information on this, specifically: - what is the packaging format and file structure for a theme, such that it can be used with the new installer? - which branch of the SVN codebase has a working version of this installer, so I can test my theme package? - why is it necessary to override the 'oxviewconfig' modue with a new 'oxviewthemeconfig' module as specified in step (4) of the Example at http://wiki.oxidforge.org/Tutorials/Understanding_theme_management_in_OXID_eShop_from_4.5.0#Example Any advice or assistance will be appreciated. Thank you.
