Hi,
as it looks like now, I will develop a little SQL-query-based caching to
extend an already existing HTML-caching-solution. This is ment to reduce
page-generation-times by making DB-queries for all articles, variants
and categories (also tree-generation) unnecessary in 99.x% of all
requests. This hopefully also will reduce server- and DB-load significantly.
If anyone is interested in such a solution, please contact me in order
to find out further functionality and scenarios, where such caching
could be interesting and needed. Essential application now is making
Oxid PE / CE handle huge amounts of articles 20.000+ and simultanously
speed up pagegeneration and delivery for heavy load-sites. I hope to be
able to make a CE handle 30.000 to 50.000 Articles, 5.000 - 10.000
Categories and with this load every page in less than 1 second on a
normal hosting-account. Pricing not known already. The module should be
available around end 2011 or beginning 2012.
Mit freundlichem Gruß, best regards
