Hey Felix, Your original statement was clear and that is what I am excited about.
I have written another 'stumbler app, MvdStumbler. It is a Firefox OS web app. If both [1] your LibStumble lives in Fennec and [2] I can bundle my Firefox OS web app into an .apk that uses that Fennec, then potentially I have access to your LibStumble and can port my app to Android. That's what I wanted to find out about. It sounds like LibStumble is the missing piece for this a and I was interested to learn more.

Hi Adrian, just to explain a few things: the library will be used in Fennec (Firefox for Android) and maybe other Android apps.

You cannot just port it to Firefox OS, I think. Firefox OS itself has an implementation already that allows app developers to get an approximate position from Ichnaea. If you want to contribute data for Ichnaea using a Firefox OS device than you can use FxStumbler which has been written by Clochix. It's open-source and you can take a look at it's code on his repo: https://github.com/clochix/FxStumbler/ He's using async_storage for his database. Regards, Felix
