maybe if you try to compare your beginnings w/ Drupal to your experience w/ 
Magnolia it would not be so bad. 

One thing for sure - you started to look at Magnolia at the time when 
documentation is being brought up from version 4.4 to 4.5 which although number 
change doesn't suggest was really huge upgrade. That definitively doesn't make 
it easier for you. If you really consider working with Magnolia and using it in 
your company, you should go for a training. In my experience it helps a lot to 
get up to speed w/ Magnolia.

Other then that it would be really helpful if you can sum up where exactly you 
find documentation and Magnolia itself lacking so that it can be improved. Is 
it just the number of published books that matters for you? I hope not :)
