Sure, but in this case, since the issue was supposedly fixed, it
could have been ok to start a discussion ;)
My concern here is simply that we'd get stuff reported as "buggy" in
Jira while they're being worked on. Maybe its simply that Philipp
forgot to commit a part of his patch, or overlooked a corner case
when fixing the issue, hence my suggestion for reopening or
discussing the current fix ;)
