GWT is open-source licensed under the Apache 2.0 license (which is
compatible with GPLv3 and the Magnolia network agreement) and it
doesn't rely on Google providing any services such as a SOAP service
does - so it would be pretty hard for them to kill GWT off without a
fork appearing in its place - but yes, I see your point.
