Webwiz,
Wow! You nailed it! I was following up on past messages and after correcting
the {{cgi}} tag in main_menu.html I found that the $cgi = $ENV{SCRIPT_NAME}
wasn't being inserted into the html where the {{cgi}} tag was and left the
source code looking like  <form action="" method="post">

So... even before I read your note I was concerned whether this
$ENV{SCRIPT_NAME} was being invoked correctly:
Well,
1) Removed my stupid reference in the environmant preferences (why? I did that,
I don't know)
2) I added a line: print "ENV${SCRIPT_NAME}";  in the reg_system.cgi script
just above the call to the main_menu.html line and VIOLA! ...

the reference to my cgi script appeared at the top of the html page that was
generated, BUT checking the the source still left a blank in the action=""
space. But, you were right on with your suggestions. Any thoughts as to why the
{{cgi}} reference isn't being replaced?

I'm sensing it has something to do with the %html=$cgi code in reg_system.cgi
Any hints?

Thanks for keeping this thread alive... the goal? A meaningful dialog on
getting the MacPerl/Webstar version working!
