Hi Bob,

The pre-release client is VERY close to being solid state. I would not be
off base to say that if you installed it and we released a final version
(which we will 11/7/00) that there would not be any major changes (short of
that pesky XML debugger ;) and the proper client version number showing up
on the verify_install.cgi .

As for the 10th!! Yes these will be live registrations with the following
caveats:

1)that these names will not resolve until the resolution phase of the
registry test bed (Date? Dec?)
2)these names will not be loaded into the root zone files until 1)

The short lead time is due to the fact that this is a test bed which has had
varying hiccups and lack of clarity on several key items defined by the
registry. I must say that Verisign has done a good job of clarifying any
areas that we felt were say....muddy;)

As for late breaking news.....We just successfully promoted the horizon test
environment to be multilingual so you can point your 2.2.2 client to Horizon
and conduct further tests...<fingers>

Subject: Will there be a new release of 2.2.2 Multilingual code?

The first release of the code was said to be purely Beta.
Will there be another release?
Will registrations actually be live on the 10th - that's not much lead time
if there is still code to be released?

Any late breaking news on that front?
