I will get the flag added to the documentation (apologies)

.us is going real-time on or about April 24th 2002, the pre-reg attribute
will not be required after that time; an announcement will be made to this
effect.  Since we're queueing orders currently and are unsure of how the
registry will handle the go-live state, we may continue to
queue/process-slowly orders until the registry is truly real-time - the
queueing may require this flag (to be announced)
