Upgrades to the mailing lists and discussion forums

We are in the process of consolidating our various discussion forums --  
some of which are mailing lists and others are web-based forums -- to a  
single system that will allow our customers to use them using their  
preferred medium, which can be any of the following:

    - email
    - web browser
    - newsreader
    - RSS reader
Through this consolidation, we hope to make it easier for our you to  
join in online discussions using the means you prefer and for us to  
keep an eye on and actively participate in those discussions.

We have taken great pains to make this process as seamless and painless  
as possible for you. That being said, you might need to make some  
changes depending on the way you currently access our discussions and  
your setup.

If you are a subscriber to
bizops-list, dev-list or discuss-list...

Anyone subscribed to these mailing lists will be automatically  
subscribed to the mailing list interface for the corresponding  
discussion group. For instance, if you are a subscriber to  
discuss-list, you will be automatically subscribed to the new  
discussion that will replace discuss-list.

If you are using some email filters that rely on the "From:" address to  
sort mail from these lists, you will need to change them to reflect the  
new "From:" email addresses for the discussions.

You will still be able to send email posts to the new discussions using  
the old addresses (bizops-list, dev-list and discuss-list @  
opensrs.com|.net|.org) for about 90 days, after which we will disable  
the old email addresses.

If you use the web interface
to access the discussion forums...

You will have to change sites -- the new site to visit is:
    http://discuss.tucows.com
Your username and password from the old discussion forums will still be  
valid.

If you use an NNTP newsreader to
access the discussion forums...

You will have to change news servers -- the new server to visit is:
    news://discuss.tucows.com
Your username and password from the old news server will still be valid.
